
In the Night Garden has become an extremely popular programme on the CBeebies channel with young children and their parents alike. Here a few little known facts about the show and it’s stars:
- In the Night Garden is narrated by one of Britain’s most reknowned actors Sir Derek Jacobi. He has starred in many Shakespeare adaptations on stage and screen with the likes of Laurence Olivier and Kenneth Brannagh.
- At the begining of each episode of In the Night Garden, IgglePiggle uses his red blanket as a sail on his little wooden boat.
- IgglePiggle has a rattle in his left hand and a bell in one of his feet.
- The Tombliboos have a piano, a set of drums and some rather large toothbrushes in the branches of their bush home.
- The Pontipines have no feet and they are able to enter their house by flying down the chimney.
