In the Night Garden Live is an incredible new live show bringing In the Night Garden to life in a fantastic musical theatre experience for the whole family. The all-new In the Night Garden Live show opens on 17th July 2010 at Sefton Park in Liverpool for the 2 weeks, then the show moves on to locations in London and Glasgow in August and September respectively. There is also one further location that is yet to be announced.

In the Night Garden Live has been produced in a huge inflatable theatre that can be erected on site, comprising two extraordinary, state-of-the-art show domes that will allow a realistic recreation of the magical world of the immensely popular In the Night Garden television show.

The much loved In the Night Garden characters, Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy and Makka Pakka have never been seen before in a live show, coming to life using full-size costumes, captivating music, magical puppets and amazing panoramic projections. In the Night Garden has quickly become one of the most popular childrens TV shows achieving world-wide success, and In the Night Garden Live is sure to carry on that success with a truly immersive theatrical experience allowing the audience to feel like they are really part of the magic world of In the Night Garden. One key factor in the creation of the In the Night Garden Live is that the high quality and production values of the television series will be matched in the live show, young children across the UK will be in for a treat.

The In the Night Garden Live tour will kick off on 17th July 2010 at Sefton Park in Liverpool where it will stay with 5 shows a day, with each show lasting approximately an hour, until 1st August before moving to three other locations including London, Glasgow and a final venue yet to be announced.

Even though the show is in an inflatable dome, In the Night Garden Live will have all the facilities of a normal theatre– including box office and catering points. These facilities will be specially designed to be family-friendly with buggy parks, toilets, baby changing areas and microwaves to heat up baby food.

Families will have the choice of two shows, each with a different story, during the run; up to five performances a day to suit every family’s schedule; and a highly competitive ticket-pricing scheme.

My 20 month old daughter loves the dancing Iggle Piggle doll. She loves pushing the button to make him talk and putting his blanket in his hand when he asks her to. I was a bit worried that she was too rough with it as she hugs him and bends his arms back. So far Iggle Piggle has stood up to all the abuse and still hugs his blanket despite the fact that she tries to break his arm! I think its very well made and she wouldn’t be without him.

Great for any in the night garden fan! Blanket Time Iggle piggle plays ten games with your child, including a ‘find iggle piggles blanket’ as the toy can sense when he is holding it. Very cute and is surely going to be one of the big sellers in 2008!!!

In the Night Garden is a lovely show with characters that really capture the imagination of little ones. My daughter is only just one and her face lights up whenever she sees Iggle Piggle. Blanket time Iggle Piggle dances, blinks and sings/speaks (not too sure why it has 18m+ age range suggestion as she seems to love it and there are no small parts). When he sings the Iggle Piggle song she gets up and dances every time!

In the Night Garden has become an extremely popular programme on the CBeebies channel with young children and their parents alike. Here a few little known facts about the show and it’s stars:

1. In the Night Garden is narrated by one of Britain’s most reknowned actors Sir Derek Jacobi. He has starred in many Shakespeare adaptations on stage and screen with the likes of Laurence Olivier and Kenneth Brannagh.
2. At the begining of each episode of In the Night Garden, IgglePiggle uses his red blanket as a sail on his little wooden boat.
3. IgglePiggle has a rattle in his left hand and a bell in one of his feet.
