In the Night Garden Live is an incredible new live show bringing In the Night Garden to life in a fantastic musical theatre experience for the whole family. The all-new In the Night Garden Live show opens on 17th July 2010 at Sefton Park in Liverpool for the 2 weeks, then the show moves on to locations in London and Glasgow in August and September respectively. There is also one further location that is yet to be announced.

In the Night Garden Live has been produced in a huge inflatable theatre that can be erected on site, comprising two extraordinary, state-of-the-art show domes that will allow a realistic recreation of the magical world of the immensely popular In the Night Garden television show.

The much loved In the Night Garden characters, Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy and Makka Pakka have never been seen before in a live show, coming to life using full-size costumes, captivating music, magical puppets and amazing panoramic projections. In the Night Garden has quickly become one of the most popular childrens TV shows achieving world-wide success, and In the Night Garden Live is sure to carry on that success with a truly immersive theatrical experience allowing the audience to feel like they are really part of the magic world of In the Night Garden. One key factor in the creation of the In the Night Garden Live is that the high quality and production values of the television series will be matched in the live show, young children across the UK will be in for a treat.

The In the Night Garden Live tour will kick off on 17th July 2010 at Sefton Park in Liverpool where it will stay with 5 shows a day, with each show lasting approximately an hour, until 1st August before moving to three other locations including London, Glasgow and a final venue yet to be announced.

Even though the show is in an inflatable dome, In the Night Garden Live will have all the facilities of a normal theatre– including box office and catering points. These facilities will be specially designed to be family-friendly with buggy parks, toilets, baby changing areas and microwaves to heat up baby food.

Families will have the choice of two shows, each with a different story, during the run; up to five performances a day to suit every family’s schedule; and a highly competitive ticket-pricing scheme.

He travels around the Night Garden pushing his little tricycle contraption called an Og-Pog. He makes sure that all the stones and pebbles in the Garden are clean and tidy using his little soap and sponge that he carries around on his Og-Pog together with his uff-uff dryer and his special red trumpet. He also cleans the faces of the other characters with his soap and sponge.

In the Night Garden is a children’s television show which can be described as a modern take on a traditional nursery rhyme picture book featuring many characters based around a variety of toys, living together in a fantasy woodland world within a happy and caring community.

In the Night Garden is aimed at babies and pre-school children aged 1-5 and has been created by the inventors of the Teletubbies, Anne Wood and Andy Davenport. The programme is designed to both relax and amuse young children. Each episode takes children on a journey that is sure to spark their imagination as they travel through the magical world encountering a variety of unique characters. Kids are encouraged to interact in their own way with each individual character. The BBC has commissioned 100 episodes, with a total budget of £14.5 million. In the Night Garden has been filmed in an actual woodland location which gives a compelling and realistic experience for a younger audience.

Each character that lives in the Night Garden interacts and cares for one another despite dramatic differences in their individual sizes, and everyone has their own distinctive song and dance. The wonderfully silly inhabitants of the Night Garden include IgglePiggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka, the Tombliboos and the Pontipines.
