The Tombliboos are three cute, cuddly characters called Ooo, Unn and Eee but which is which? Each Tombliboo wears their own individual coloured costume of stripes and spots. Ooo wears brown, Unn wears red and Eee wears pink.

The mini Tombliboos plush toys are soon to be available to buy and the Tombliboos mini plush toys are definitely the cutest addition the the range of In the Night Garden toys.

In the Night Garden has become an extremely popular programme on the CBeebies channel with young children and their parents alike. Here a few little known facts about the show and it’s stars:

1. In the Night Garden is narrated by one of Britain’s most reknowned actors Sir Derek Jacobi. He has starred in many Shakespeare adaptations on stage and screen with the likes of Laurence Olivier and Kenneth Brannagh.
2. At the begining of each episode of In the Night Garden, IgglePiggle uses his red blanket as a sail on his little wooden boat.
3. IgglePiggle has a rattle in his left hand and a bell in one of his feet.
4. The Tombliboos have a piano, a set of drums and some rather large toothbrushes in the branches of their bush home.
5. The Pontipines have no feet and they are able to enter their house by flying down the chimney.

In the Night Garden is a children’s television show which can be described as a modern take on a traditional nursery rhyme picture book featuring many characters based around a variety of toys, living together in a fantasy woodland world within a happy and caring community.

In the Night Garden is aimed at babies and pre-school children aged 1-5 and has been created by the inventors of the Teletubbies, Anne Wood and Andy Davenport. The programme is designed to both relax and amuse young children. Each episode takes children on a journey that is sure to spark their imagination as they travel through the magical world encountering a variety of unique characters. Kids are encouraged to interact in their own way with each individual character. The BBC has commissioned 100 episodes, with a total budget of £14.5 million. In the Night Garden has been filmed in an actual woodland location which gives a compelling and realistic experience for a younger audience.

Each character that lives in the Night Garden interacts and cares for one another despite dramatic differences in their individual sizes, and everyone has their own distinctive song and dance. The wonderfully silly inhabitants of the Night Garden include IgglePiggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka, the Tombliboos and the Pontipines.
